Tapas style food accompaniments with each wine tasting La Cantina Winery is Franklin's First Winery
La Canitna Winery was born from our love for traditional Italian wine making with family and friends. The handcrafted wine making process at La Cantina Winery continues a family tradition passed down over generation. Our wines are crafted in small batches with carefully selected, premium quality grapes. Grapes are sourced from Suisun Valley California, Mendoza Argentina , and Curico Chile. The five wines we are sampling are from Suisun Valley appellation, a pristine wine growing region nestled between two costal mountain ranges southeast of Napa Valley. The four reds Sangiovese, Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon are aged in French Oak barrels for 12 months. The Chardonnay was cold fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks. The wood selected for the French Oak barrels are sourced from the finest forests in France. The staves are sir dried 36+ months where they are then manufactured in France and shipped to our winery in Franklin.
You don't have to travel to Italy to purchase expensive equipment to create your own wines. At La Cantina Winery, you know have the unique opportunity to create your own world-class wines. La Cantina Winery offers a wine making COOP where you are the winemaker. From crushing grapes to bottling a fine wine you are involved in every step of the process.
